A British grandmother is facing tough news sanctions for allegedly supporting the brutal Assad regime ‘by proxy’.
Defence secretary Micahel Fallon explained:
‘It has come to our attention that last year, this woman’s 19 year old grandson went to Moscow on holiday, where he spent several hundred pounds on food, drink and accommodation’
‘The tax revenue from that money went straight to the Russian government, which was then used to prop up Assad’s government’
‘She has therefore supported Assad ‘by proxy’, and we are left with no choice but to apply tough sanctions’
‘Her free bus pass and TV license will be immediately revoked’
