Watching Inspector Morse may be racist, says Oxford University

New guidelines published today by the university’s Equality and Diversity Unit, suggest that repeated viewing of the long-running detective series could cause outbursts of extreme racism, and may even be as dangerous as watching Hitler documentaries on the History Channel.

Speaking at a press conference, an EDU representative had this to say:

‘The main protagonists in Inspector Morse are two white men, which by itself is extremely troubling. What makes the show even more problematic is the fact that the two white men work for the Police Force, an agency which is notorious for its institutional racism’

‘Therefore we can only conclude that anybody watching this programme for entertainment purposes can only be a subconscious Neo-Nazi’

This news comes just days after Glasgow University claimed that anybody who watched Taggart was secretly a transphobic misogynist.
