Columnist Katie Hopkins reported to police for Ramadan tweet.

Daily Mail columnist Katie Hopkins has been reported to the Police for comments made on twitter about yesterday’s arrest of Westminster terror suspect Khalid Mohamed Omar Ali.

Fellow twitter users reported Ms. Hopkins, saying that by linking the arrest to the Islamic month of Ramadan, she had committed a ‘hate crime’, that would ‘incite racial violence’.

The Met Police confirmed that the allegations would be ‘reviewed and assessed’

This is not the first time the columnist has caused controversy on twitter, having recently been ordered to pay £24,000 in damages after losing a libel case over a tweet made in 2015.

  1. Katie might not be everyone’s cup of tea but she is more right than wrong and it’s not an offence to speak your mind or tell the truth or is it,!!!
