Former UK business secretary Sir Vince Cable has predicted a ‘second economic storm’ if Theresa May pushes forward with plans for a ‘hard’ Brexit, assuming of course, that she is elected on June 8th.
This prediction is based on access to the single market and customs union, which Mr.Cable believes is essential for economic stability and prosperity.
‘You can’t have a hard Brexit and a strong economy’
Mr. Cable is hoping to win the seat of Twickenham, which he held for 18 years until an unexpected defeat in the 2015 general election.
The constituency is currently represented by Conservative Tania Mathias.
