Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron will be visiting several marginal constituencies in London, hoping that his anti-Brexit policies can take seats held by both Conservative and Labour politicians.
In last year’s referendum, London voted 60-40 to remain in the EU, which could potentially make Mr. Farron’s repeated warnings about the dangers of a ‘hard’ Brexit, an attractive proposition for the city’s residents.
In recent days, Mr. Farron has tried to portray the Lib Dems as the true party of opposition, going so far as to call Jeremy Corbyn ‘the worst leader in British political history’.
However, with only nine seats, the chances of them overtaking Labour are extremely slim.
