Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has found £3 billion for his education policy, buried in the back garden of his Islington home.
At a press conference this afternoon, Mr Corbyn had this to say:
‘Tory cuts have taken our education system to the brink of collapse, but the money I found while weeding, will undo the damage, and make our schools the envy of the world once more’
When pressed for more details, Mr Corbyn replied:
‘It was really very simple. I decided to do a little light gardening over the Bank Holiday weekend, and found a suitcase full of cash under one of the flower beds’
‘So now our children have a future’
This news comes just days after Prime Minister May announced that the NHS budget shortfall would be paid for by the £6 billion she found in the glove box of her ministerial car.
