Corbyn won’t quit

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn will not step down if he loses the upcoming election, saying ‘I was elected leader of this party and I’ll stay leader of this party’.

With only a month until Britain votes, Mr. Corbyn believes he can still win, despite Theresa May having a large lead in the opinion polls.

‘I’m serious about winning the election. I’m serious about going out there. I’ve been in Worcester and Leamington, I’ve been in Warrington, I’ve been in Croydon.

‘I’m going all over the country on this because ours is an election to win. We’re fighting a campaign to win’

After a poor performance in recent local election, a Labour victory seems unlikely, but after David Cameron’s unexpected win two years ago, Donald Trump’s unexpected presidential victory, and the shock Brexit result, anything could happen.
