Jeremy Crobyn has promised ‘fair immigration based on the needs of our society’, and unlike the Tories, has refused to set a target figure.
‘I want us to have a society that works and a balance that works and I cannot get into numbers games because I don’t think it works’.
Mr. Corbyn did say that freedom of movement would end after Brexit, but stressed that protecting EU nationals already living here was key, and that the Labour party would ‘recognise the enormous contribution made by those who have come to this country in our NHS, education and transport industries’.
