Millwall fans ‘a credit to football’, says FA

The Football Association has today praised Millwall fans for their commitment to loyalty and fair play, after a wonderful display of sportsmanship following yesterday’s play-off victory.

‘Once again, Millwall FC have led by example. Impromptu pitch invasions are part of a long and glorious tradition, so it was nice to see the club hasn’t lost touch with its roots’.

In an era of sanitised TV coverage, excessive wages, astronomical ticket prices, and prawn sandwiches at half time, it’s nice to see at least one club that still believes in real football, for real fans’.

‘However, we are slightly concerned about the lack of a full-blown riot, so hopefully the club will rectify that next time they win a crucial game’.

‘It was still a great day though’.
