A new YouGov poll has predicted a hung Parliament, with Theresa May expected to fall short of a majority by 16 seats. This leaves open the possibility of a coalition, with Labour, the SNP and the Lib Dems working together to keep the Tories out.
The poll sampled 50,000 people, and puts the Conservatives on 310 seats, Labour on 257, the SNP on 50, and the Lib Dems on 10.
This is encouraging news for Labour, although the most recent ICM poll for the Guardian had the Conservatives comfortably ahead with 45% of the vote.
The general trend has seen the gap between Labour and the Conservatives narrowing, but with a Theresa May victory of June 8th still the most likely outcome.
