Brexit Secretary David Davis has agreed to go on a second date with EU negotiator Michel Barnier, after their first meeting went surprisingly well.
‘You know what they say – sometimes opposites attract’, said Mr Davis at a press conference.
‘We both have completely different views on the European Union, and on politics in general, but it didn’t seem to matter. We got on like a house on fire, so I’d definitely be up for a second date’.
Mr. Barnier was also very positive, saying:
‘I was shocked when he offered to split the bill. It was quite an expensive meal, and I’d heard that Mr. Davis was expecting me to pay for it, so when he told the waiter we would be paying half each, I was very happy’.
‘I’d love to see him again’.
This news comes just days after Donald Trump reportedly waited in Starbucks for an hour, only to be stood up by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
