Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage has threatened to ‘don khaki and head for the frontline again’, if there is no hard Brexit.
Speaking on the anniversary of the referendum, Mr. Farage said:
‘A year on, I feel like last year we climbed Everest without crampons’.
‘Since the election, a bit of power’s been passed back to the political class, and we’re half way back down the mountain again’.
‘We will see what emerges over the course of the next two years. All I can say is that if Brexit doesn’t mean Brexit, I intend to don khaki and head for the frontline again’.
‘If we haven’t won this fair and square at the first chance, we’ll win it fair and square the second time round, and they’ll never, ever be able to come back to us’.
