Nigel Farage has warned that if Brexit is not delivered, ‘there will be hell to pay’, after the general election result has potentially put a ‘hard’ Brexit in jeopardy.
‘The outcome of Mrs May’s elections gamble means that she now has Remoaner MPs on her own backbenches who would like to prevent the will of the people’.
‘In short, it’s a mess. The point is the public voted in a free and fair referendum for Brexit. If it’s not delivered, there will be hell to pay’.
Mr. Farage also rejected the suggestion that when people voted to leave, they weren’t necessarily voting to leave the single market.
‘Every single leading player on both remain and leave could not have been clearer, all the way through the referendum’.
‘A vote to leave was also a vote to leave the single market. Nobody was in any doubt about that’.
