Jeremy Corbyn has been campaigning in Cornwall in preparation for a possible general election, saying:
‘If Theresa May is back from her holiday yet, perhaps she’s listening’.
‘It would be a really good idea to have another walk, have an epiphany moment while you’re walking, and come along with a proposal to dissolve parliament and have another election’.
‘We’re ready for it at any time’.
Mr. Corbyn had previously said his party is now in ‘permanent campaign mode’, as he plans to tour the country to bring ‘a message of hope to marginal seats’.
‘This week I’m visiting the south-west. It’s a part of the country not thought of as traditionally Labour, but a Labour government would transform the lives of people across the south-west’.
‘The region suffers from widespread low pay and job insecurity, so Labour’s Real Living Wage of at least £10 an hour would be a real boost for many workers’.
