North Korea has opened up a travel agency in Russia, telling potential holidaymakers that a trip to Pyongyang is ‘safer than an evening stroll in London’.
Visitors will be subjected to a background check, and will be accompanied throughout by a tour guide to ensure the ‘adequate behavior of the tourist, and guarantee their safety’.
The North Korean embassy in Moscow said: ‘The DPRK, one of the safest countries in the world, fully guarantees the safety of tourists who observe the law and order of the country’.
Tour highlights include a visit to a farm, a mineral water factory, a Buddhist temple, and numerous museums.
