Jacob Rees-Mogg has criticised Jean-Claude Juncker after the the European Commission President told a conference that he had read Britain’s Brexit position papers, but that ‘None of those is actually satisfactory, so there are still an enormous amount of issues which remain to be settled, and that ‘There will be no negotiations, particular on trade between the UK and the EU, before all these issues are resolved’.
‘Mr. Juncker’s effort to extort money from us shows he is an amateur even at blackmail’, said Mr. Rees-Mogg.
‘He has nothing to intimidate us with and the British people always stiffen their sinews when threatened’.
‘Mr. Juncker is a pound shop Bismarck, arrogant and bullying but without the charm’.
